Hello everyone.
I know we had that thread some time ago, and I was wondering what happened to
that subject...
This time, I do not want to change everything, I only wanted to show you a
litte thing I made yesterday and the day before... Due to my new employment I
had to do pretty intensive CSS-styling to some portal-pages, besides
programming MVC (but that's another story that does not belong here), which can
be pretty headbreaking. But I learned a lot about how to really style pages...
On the weekend I simply wanted to know how I could restyle an existing page,
without having to reinvent everything. So I took the page of my favourite
editor (namely Quanta ;-) ). My proof of concept does not cover all elements
yet, but I guess you get the idea I did not check the page with browsercam.com
yet, but at least it works on Firefox2, Konqueror (3.4.5 ) and -please do not
hate me- even on IE6 (running within crossover office).
It not that breathtaking... simply an idea where it could go ;-).
But after all, in my opinion it looks better ;-).
I made some screenshots available here:

A working copy can be seen on http://www.media-division.net/~phwen/Quanta/
and you can download the tar.bz2-archive here:

actually I did not comment my modifications. A diff is also still missing,
sorry guys, but if you want - this will be no problem at all. You can examine
the page with firebug - an extension, i will never want to miss when it comes
to internet development.
btw: I did not take care of the links....
greetings from Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany
