[kdewebdev-site] IMPORTANT: Using Quanta to upload the files

Hi,

As from the discussion you might noticed you must be very careful with
uploaded files (in CVS once we fix the directory permissions, there
should be no problem). The important is to always have your files group
writable BEFORE uploading. To be sure that this is the case, the
easiest way I could figure out is that on project opening the files
permissions are set to group writable. To make this automatic in Quanta
do the following:
- create a project
- right click on the script tree and choose Download Script
- download the ChangeMod and ChangeMod all scripts. if you don't run KDE
CVS (3.4.0 is not enough), you must close the dialog and start again
the download dialog, otherwise only the first will be downloaded
- in order to save the creation of script actions, download the Useful
Scripts toolbar (Toolbars->Download Toolbar)
- put the toolbar in your project and save a project view (Project->Save
Project View As) and make this the default view (Project->Project
Options), so the toolbar will be loaded automatically when you load the
project
- in Project Properties->Event Configuration enable the events and add a
new event where "After Project Open" the "Script Action" called
"ChMod-ALL" is executed.

From now on whenever you load the project, this action is executed and
all files from the project will be group writable.

Let me know if it does not work for you.

Andras
