Righto, here's what i did....
***Joff's Simple 22 Step Guide to "ssh-keygen thingy", CVS and the Known
Universe ***
1: Grab a beer
2: Sit back in leather executive chair and chill for approx 5 - 7 minutes.
3: If you smoke, spark up. (i dont, so skipped that bit, but i dont mind if
others do - i can tolerate the smoke on the list, it doesnt bother me. No
really, go ahead :) )
4: Open a konsole and type
ssh-keygen -t dsa
5: Press return a few times. (randomly, i seem to remember)
6: Open up konqueror and type the following in the address bar:
fish://kdewebdev.org
7: When prompted, enter your username and password
8: Go to fish://kdewebdev.org/home/<username>/ (if you're not already there)
9: Make a folder called
.ssh
10: copy the local file: ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub to the .ssh folder you made in the
fishy window.
11: Rename that file to "authorized_keys"
12: Put the empty bottle back on the table, and grab another.
13: Find the peanuts you bought the other week.
14: Open up cervisia.
15: Click "Repository>Repositories>Add"
16: In the first box, type:
:ext:typeyourusernamehere at kdewebdev.org:/var/lib/cvs
17: Click "ok" then "ok"
18: Click "Repository>Checkout" and select your newly created repository from
the dd box
19: In the module box type
kdewebdev
20: Type in a reasonably titled working folder (and dont, as I did, try to
put it along side the kde kdewebdev module, cos it wont work, as they're both
called the same thing and there's a distinct lack of error messages!)
21: Hold breath and get ready to call Joff some not-so-nice names when it
doesn't work cos he forgot to put in an all-important step.
22: Click "ok"
And that pretty much worked for me, as far as I remember (which probably isn't
very far - distance is always a problem for me, in hind sight)
Not all of the steps are probably necessary, but it worked for me :)
*thinks, hard*
Yup - just looked through again, and I'm sure that was it......
Perhaps someone could clarify this and say Yay or Nay
