I have some problems with your updates and we really need to get on top of
this procedurally right away. I was chatting with Michal last night and asked
if he had seen the new Kommander page. He asked why it was laid out weird. I
was shocked to see it was now totally broken. (when you alter libraries you
need to update all pages) I thought the main site was okay, but now I don't
remember. I tried for some time to make the Kommander subdomain display right
but for some reason the best I could do was a really ugly hack. Oddly the
link "/home/kdewebdev/public_html/css/default.css" did not seem to be working
so I had to use the domain name, but I ended up with an ugly hack copying the
CSS file and I never even committed it.
This morning I checked and the main site is also hosed, throughing suspicion
on my difficulties last night. The left included menus work but the main page
doesn't, which is what the Kommander site was doing. So I will look at it.
Here is a simple rule. Always test on site after a commit so you can fix or
revert any problems. There are things that can only be proven on site. Right
now we have portions of the site that have been broken for over a day. If we
were running high traffic this would never do. This is why I want to limit
uploading. Fixing validation, which will be checked by a select few, has
broken everything, which will be noticed by everybody.
