Okay, I've created an SVG version. It differs a little, due to it being 
impossible to implement the gradiants, as they are in Américo's version, in 
XHTML/CSS. I don't think it offends Américo's design at all.

From these two objects I can create the whole site. 

Américo, is this OK?
