PHP5 is not even in unstable for AMD64 on Gentoo but I think people are not
having trouble with it. As soon as I upgrade my notebook I'm in good shape.
That will happen once I have found one last bug on kittyhooch.com. Then it
moves too. Then again I may do a multiple profile and run PHP4 on my desktop
so I could do it sooner.

Another thing I want to do is start using Subversion and WebDAV. I think it
would be good for us from the standpoint of developing Quanta and also I
believe there are advantages for us writing the site. I am thinking of doing
a Kommander front end for subversion.

I have a fairly complete database design that is currently on a legal pad. The
concept is for organizing the developer section. I also need to get PostGre
SQL running locally. As I understand there is already back end code for it
with KNewStuff. I will also be rewriting my database classes. So when we have
everything moved to the new rack server I will be putting this up.

In the mean time I am waiting for templates from Dave for the application
sections. We should also use our personal areas for posting any extensive
revisions or designs for review.

Of course just because I'm finally dragging myself into this doesn't mean I'm
not still totally insane. ;-) Hopefully I will get over being exhausted and
finish a few things and pick up the pace.

BTW I will also be doing a separate site for support which I plan to do some
interesting things with and offer inexpensive memberships to support our
sponsored development. It will be a separate project, but anyone interested
in contributing there can let me know too.
