Hello all,
I just thought that I would give everyone here a quick status report.
Currently, I've had 3 people respond to my hail for volunteers. In my grand
scheme, I know we're going to need more than that so for all you lurkers out
there, please chime in so I can put you on the list to assign you a task :)
I've received some background material from Eric and Bill. In the next couple
of days, I'm going to produce a high level requirements document. This
document will discuss the goals of the project and will be my initial stab at
some time frames. For those of you looking to "jump in and code" - hold your
horses, it'll be a little bit yet. We need to know what we're going to be
doing before we start doing it - otherwise we won't end up with the
professional site we're all looking for.
This document will also begin to outline some high-level rolls I'm going to
need people to play. Based on the respones from volunteers I've received when
I release the documents, I'm going to assign these rolls to people. In the
beginning, there will be one roll per person. If you want more, or don't want
the one I give you, please chime in and let me know. There are going to be
gaps, so I'm sure there will be lots of opportunities :)
That's all for now. Lurkers, you know what to do :)
David
